He spent a year at The University of Texas at Austin as part of an exchange program, supported by a&nbsp;DAAD scholarship. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research in Organometallic Chemistry, focusing on the synthesis and reactivity of transition metal complexes featuring&nbsp;N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC)&nbsp;and&nbsp;N-heterocyclic silylenes (NHSi).
